About

Jeffrey John Watson is a multidisciplinary artist whose creative roots trace back to Covina, California, where he first developed his artistic discipline as an alto saxophonist. During his formative years at Northview High School, Watson distinguished himself both athletically and artistically—competing as a track athlete while serving as Drum Major for the Spirit of Northview High School, a role that refined his leadership and performance sensibilities.

Following high school, Watson expanded his intellectual and creative pursuits at Hofstra University, where he focused on religious philosophy. This academic foundation continues to inform the conceptual depth of his work, blending introspection with existential inquiry.

Now based in New York City, Watson’s artistic practice has evolved into a series of surrealist paintings shaped by the atmosphere of late nights in Astoria. His work often emerges from quiet contemplation—moments spent reflecting on design, philosophy, and human experience, sometimes accompanied by craft beer and the ritual of solitude. Through his art, Watson explores the intersection of structure and abstraction, discipline and freedom, grounding his work in both lived experience and philosophical exploration.
